Cell phones shouldn’t be allowed in school I agree with the principal on the issue of cell phones being banned from school during school hours.I agree because during school one should be there to learn not to text or talk with their friends. It is realistic that there will always be bulling through text message, online, or face to face, although if someone is bulling another student through text message that student could save these messages as proof to show authority of what was really said.
Why kids should not bring cell phones to school Many kids bring cell phones to school.
Students should not be permitted to bring cell phones to school.
Such as one is learning about a very complicated cycle in science class then in the middle of it an inappropriate song starts playing and the students start laughing.
That is disrespectful because they are doing there best to prepare you for life and your busy laughing at a song instead of learning. They go off whenever someone calls them and they are on even if it is in the middle of the Pledge of Allegiance, an important test, or just the class.
This would save time and would allow the teachers more time to teach.
The camera devices on the cell phones can come in handy also, if a student is absent a friend can take a picture of their work and send it to their friend to keep him/her updated with missing work.On the other hand, if it is your phone then you are distracting yourself as well the people around you. For example if it goes off in the middle of a teacher’s lecture a cell phone goes off then they would have to (by policy) confiscate the phone and that will distract them from what they are here to do.Cell phones are disrespectful to both the teacher and one’s fellow students. If you were to drop in on any school, you’ll see everyone almost identical. They all look like robots with devices in their hands, typing away.Technology is surrounding the world today, it is used in every aspect including hospitals, office buildings, fire departments, even in schools.I feel there is no need to ban the use of cell phones in schools, they can help in many different ways. The use of cell phones in school may take away the students urge to use them, which would than create a better learning place for these students. Once students show teacher they can handle it, I will agree.Bibliography "Fair Cell Phone Use in Schools: Pros and Cons of Cell Phones in School." Teaching & Technology. Pews’ study shows that “Older teen girls ages 14-17 send or receive an average of 100 messages a day.” That is a lot of time to spend on your phone. What a lack of proper use of time, used to entertain yourself.
