Short Essay On Water Crisis In Pakistan

India suffers from water shortage for cultivation and drinking despite the fact that many big rivers, some of them perennial rivers, flow through some parts of India.Common human causes include over-consumption, bad governance, pollution, and increases in the demand for water. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that by 2025, 1.9 billion people will be living in countries or regions with total water scarcity, and two-thirds of the world population could be under stress conditions. It mostly affects arid and deserted areas, and places where the water is too polluted to drink. It is a social, environmental and economic problem in many countries. India has many social problems and frequent water crisis in many States is one of them.Food and drinking water are quite essential for people’s comfortable living.Investigation should be done whether more reservoirs could be built to augment the supply of drinking water to the people. When summer is quite severe sometimes what was once a large reservoir of water shrinks to a pool.Water, like religion and ideology, has the power to move millions of people. Century - the population and technological explosions - have taken their toll on our water supply.Since the very birth of human civilization, people have moved to settle close to water. More people lack drinking water today than they did two decades ago.
