Their lives were very rough since they had no rights. Today, we see women working in all work fields including, lawyers, engineers, doctors, etc.

It was hard for women to have any type of education since no schools would accept women students. Although, they still faced some type of discrimination especially when it comes to wages, they have achieved what they were trying to achieve many years ago.

Women's rights guarantee that women will not face discrimination on the basis of their sex." Women's rights is taken for granted in the world today, but when one studies the struggle of women it becomes clear that there is a long way to go to achieve true equality.

It wasn't until the 19th century that laws imposed by the government regarding women rights created some of the most significant obstacles securing women rights.

The passage of the 14th and 15th amendment helped focus the women's rights movement on suffrage.

The 14th Amendment provided that all citizens were guaranteed equal protection under the law and that no citizen could be denied due process of law.

Women had no authority whatsoever within their family or outside of it.

Their role was just to maintain the house, to take care of the children and to cook for the family.

In the past, there were distinctive differences between men and women, between their roles in society and their models of behavior.

However, considerable changes have been found since those times.
