Individual study plans enable doctoral students to adjust the content of their studies even to the needs of those of them who have not obtained a master’s degree in the field of political science. The studies are designated for the applicants who would like to engage in professional specialisation in the field of Political Science with focus on the following topics: • application and utilization of the theoretical concepts of democracy and non-democratic forms of government in the historical perspective and in the present, • transformation of political systems with focus on the development trends related to modernization and democratization, • comparative analysis with the focus on the national and regional identity, • analysis of particular elements of political systems, • political geography, • analysis of aspects of political thought (with the focus on the 19th and 20th century).
The selection procedure to the CDS is held once a year and can be attended also by first-year students. b) The motivation for study based on the list of literature read (at least 30 titles of scientific articles or books which the candidate is required to present at the oral part of the entrance examination).
