Q: If I take other sections of the exam besides those required, will those scores be considered?
A: If you take your HESI exam under the UTHealth school code given above, you have until the deadline date to take the exam.
If you take the HESI exam under a different school code, you should allow a couple of weeks before the deadline date for us to receive your scores once you have requested that they be sent to us. Elsevier has an Admissions Assessment Study Guide available for purchase.
You must arrive at least half hour (30 minutes) prior to end of testing time for registration and payment. Student’s scores are posted in the Student Information System (SIS) and are kept on file indefinitely.
In example, if the end time is at 2 PM, please arrive by PM. In approximately 7 days, an email will be sent from HESI indicating that results and online content remediation are available in your Evolve account The School of Nursing will not accept partial exams.The most recent submitted score is presented to faculty for review.It is important to follow these instructions carefully and as listed; failure to complete the HESI registration accurately may delay registration or communication of your scores to the School of Nursing.The UTHealth School of Nursing Department ID is 198326.The most recent score is used in the admissions evaluation.The first time you take the exam, Version 1 should be selected.When the Cizik School of Nursing Department ID is added to your exam record for the first time, you must register for Version 1. The exam cannot be taken more than two times under the UTHealth code.If you score below the recommended score or fail to complete a section, you must retake the entire exam.If an application deadline falls after that timeframe, the School of Nursing has an agreement with the testing agency for those results to be sent on the next business day thus allowing students to meet the application materials requirement.
