The work seen in the exhibi- tion is the culmination of each individual’s experience in MECA’s master of fine arts program in studio art.

Leah Igo, director of marketing and communications at MECA, says in a press release, “Seen together, these projects hybridize a range of conceptual themes and material approaches as they relate to visual culture, the political landscape, and contemporary art practice.” MECA’s master’s program in studio art is a two-year program that emphasizes the intersection of studio production, individual research, global interactions, and curatorial experimentation.

This exhibition encompasses work by the 31 artists who will graduate from the program this May.

The Tuesday evening presentations will highlight fine art and motion graphics thesis projects. The livestream and the order of presentations can be found here.
