Essays On Self Discipline

- Police officers carrying out a ‘stop and search’ without lawful reasons bring the police into disrepute, as it can then be assumed by people that this ‘stop and search’ was carried out because of a stereotype towards that person, this could be because of their race, age, or because of the way in which that person is dressed.

Incidents like the ones I have written about have serious consequences in the ways society view the police force.

For working people, it can be as simple as getting up on time every morning, however tired you may be and how much you may hate your job, getting to work on time and doing your job.

Without this kind of self-discipline, people would not be able to enjoy academic success, or be successful in their careers either.

This skill is also useful for overcoming eating disorders, addictions, smoking, drinking and negative habits.

You also need it to make yourself sit and study, exercise your body, develop new skills, and for self improvement, spiritual growth and meditation.

Self-discipline is also required for dieters and anyone doing regular exercise, because given the chance, most of us would prefer to be lazy rather than get up and exercise, and eat burgers and fries rather than healthy food.

Without it, even more people would be fat and unhealthy, and a lack of self-discipline in some people certainly contributes to the obesity crisis.

Consequences involving the force: I shall now give two examples of situations which can affect the police force as a whole: - If when making an arrest a group of officers used excessive force and the subject sustained serious injuries, then turns out to be innocent.

The subject would quite rightly be unhappy about the situation and would sue the force and receive compensation.
