We are looking for thoughtful essays that grapple with power in al its permutations. We want nuanced, thoughtful work where the essayist looks both inward and outward. What happens when our communities fail us or when we fail our communities? We are looking for smart, engaging essays about the nature of community. A good pitch should tell us what you want to write about, why you want to write that essay, and why you are the best person to write that essay.
