We are shielded from the cruel world by our mother. The lesson of being compassionate is taught to us by our mother only. She teaches us not only how to be a responsible citizen but also makes us understand our roles and duties towards the society.
Mother is the most important part of everybody’s life.
I have been mentioning her in almost all of the essays I write. Mother Teresa (born Agnes Gonza Bojaxhiu) was certainly no beauty. In the almost 70 years since Mother Teresa made her commitment, she never wavered.
Mother is the pillar of strength in everyone’s life.
She is the one without whom our life is incomplete.
On this day children thank their mothers for being there for them. We will never be able to care for our mother as much as she cared for us but we can do our best to make our mother happy.
We should never forget the sacrifices made by our mother for us and love her as much as we can.
The problem is, I cannot really express how I feel about her in just words. Ever since, I already knew he was in a better place. In his book, "Great Souls," journalist David Aikman describes how Mother Teresa never relied on worldly power.
My mother is not my whole life, but she is a really big part of it. I have known her for sixteen years, three months, one day and nineteen hours. I was the foundation of her joy, strength, peace and love. I do not remember my mom having a hard time explaining to me my situation - having no father. She explained things very simply, like she knew everything. I thank her for telling me the truth, so that I did not need to believe a lie that would have made things "easier" for me. She showed me how to handle these feelings of anger, fear, guilt, joy, sadness, excitement, hate and anxiety. I learned from her that giving is a lot harder than taking, but the former is much more satisfying when it is done. I am sure she is right because half of her life, she has been giving me what I need, and in spite of all that years of giving, she is happy.
We cannot repay the debt of our mother but still in an effort to do something for our mothers this day is celebrated.
Generally it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year.
