Have the children tell the story and write it down for them.

Creative writing should be fun, individual and flexible in its approach.

At Hamline we want to offer you the best of all possible worlds, integrating the most successful aspects of the low-residency model with lessons learned from over two decades of teaching in a traditional MFA program.

Most children have a creative streak and you often don’t need to do much to encourage it.

You don’t have to be based in the UK to take the course. The course is carried out through email correspondence, so a student doesn’t have to be online at a set time/day.

You’ll find out more about how the online courses work here.

While working remotely throughout your four semesters, you will be guided in an attentive, one-on-one relationship with a faculty advisor.

Most of you will stay deeply connected with your fellow students, who live across the United States, throughout the program and beyond.

This one-to-one online creative writing course for children is suitable for 8-11 year olds. The student will be given notes, tips and assignments every week to help them.

Olive will read the assignments and she will provide written feedback on every assignment to help you become a better writer. However, the main thing is for you to have fun when writing!
