I completely forgot to get back to you about the dms programming and I apologize for that, the lady I spoke to said it was physically possible but every time an audit is done you'd get the call waiting back, and those responsible for removing it would get a lashing lol As for the modem, im assuming you got a 2 wire modem for business, there is a difference in the residential vs biz modems and it's simply to do with the authentication of your username and password, biz customers dont have a b1xxxx number and a residential modem wont accept the [email protected] username. The tech that came, also said that was the same reasoning. Now I also have to wait for bell to send the return package to return the other modem instead of the tech taking it with him.
Overall happier that I got a better deal, with unlimited data, and a lower cost of 2 services.

Hey btech805 -- is it really impossible to shut off the Call Waiting feature in the CO's DMS switch for a business customer's line card? Although it may take pulling a favour from a tech and that tech pulling a favour with the dms programmers to do it since bell obviously doesn't want you not to have it. Just an update, I recieved my Business installation package in the mail and tomorrow the installation will take place.
If the overarching billing system's backend is truly impossible to make exceptions, can a small business customer with one phone line be switched to Local Link Package B (has Line Hunting instead of Call Waiting) and sort of 'redundantly' configure it since there's only one line? Tbh I didn't expect the same modem, and basically the same equipment as my residential service.
